Another great online resource, which I’ve used numerous times in the past for small group science activities, is Scholastic Study Jams.

There are very kid-friendly science and math animated videos that explain and discuss a number of important topics and concepts. After each video, students can take a little quiz to check their learning. Also noted are key vocabulary words.

Science topics include: plants, animals, human body, ecosystems, land forms, weather and climate, solar system, matter, force & motion, energy, light & sound, scientific inquiry.

Math topics include: numbers, addition & subtraction, multiplication & division, fractions, decimals & percents, algebra, geometry, measurement, data analysis, probability, problem solving.
