Something a lot of people don’t know about me is that I was previously a counselor, case manager and social worker. One of the places I worked during that time specifically served the urban Native population. I learned a tremendous amount when I worked there and made some life-long friends. As a result, I’m a big advocate for indigenous people and the issues they face. I tried to choose authoritative and accurate resources that don’t perpetuate stereotypes. I hope you’ll check them out.
